
Stephen Howard, 78, of Vidor, died Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Vidor Health and Rehab. He was born July 7, 1948, and was a longtime resident of Vidor.
Stephen loved anything related to construction and was known for being able to fix just about anything and everything. He had a special love for animals and over the years had many unique pets, including ducks, cats, and even raccoons. Above all, Stephen cherished the time he spent with his family. He came from a large family and was one of 16 siblings.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Connie Howard of Vidor, TX; children, Kimberly Lee and her husband, Steven, of Vidor, TX, Aaron Howard of Vidor, TX, and Scott Howard and his wife, Amy, of Mauriceville, TX; and three grandchildren, David Lee, Brendan Lee, and Cassidy Howard.
He is also survived by his brothers, Wilmer Howard of Dayton, OH, and Eddie Howard of Navarre Beach, FL.
Stephen was preceded in death by 13 of his siblings.
Stephen will be remembered for his willingness to fix anything, his love for animals, and most of all, the love and time he shared with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
