
Shambree Nicole Herrin, 30, of Orange, has been arrested after being indicted for murder by an Orange County Grand Jury this week in connection with the stabbing death of Aaron Ray.
It was on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 12:01 A.M., Officers with the City of Orange Police Department were dispatched to 804 Burton Avenue in reference to a stabbing.
Officers found a deceased black male inside the residence with a stab wound to his upper left chest. The decedent was identified as Ray, a 29-year-old resident of Orange.
An autopsy was ordered by Judge Rodney Price and several people, including Herrin were interviewed at the scene but later released. The investigation brought police back to Herrin as the suspect. Her bond was set at $750,000.
