A reported Interstate 10 collision Wednesday morning is being investigated as a case of aggravated assault after the driver of an 18-wheel truck rig intentionally hit a small SUV that had passed him. Orange police report the 18-wheeler struck the SUV several times in the rear, forced the vehicle into the center wall and pushed it for a distance. Texas Department of Public Safety troopers were called to the scene near FM 1136 at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. Broussard Going To Jail For Six Months
Carl Broussard, the former high school coach convicted of leaving the scene of a double fatality collision with pedestrians, will be spending nearly six months in the Orange County Jail. State District Judge Buddie Hahn, who on Monday gave Broussard probation for the felony in connection with killing a young mother and her daughter, has ordered Broussard to the Orange County Jail on June 15. Three members of the City Council in Bridge City were sworn in Tuesday night. Tammi Fisette and Terri Gauthier both start their second terms on the council in Places 3 and 5 respectively.
