Money, various items and a gun were taken from unlocked vehicles in the Oak Creek Village and International neighborhoods early Monday morning. Orange police have gathered several home surveillance recordings and have pictures of two juvenile boys. Detective Captain Robert Enmon said the thefts were done around 3 a.m. The vehicles were parked at houses on Oak Valley, Black Oak, Amsterdam and Zurich. OYB Begins Little League All-Star Play
Tuesday night the Orange Youth Baseball 9 year old All-Stars became the first Orange All-Star team in some 50 years to play under the Little League banner. They joined the LL Organization this season after many years in the Pony Organization. LL District 32 Director Jerry McInnis was on hand to welcome Orange to Little League family. The game almost didn't happen after several downpours during the day. Kudos to the board, coaches, and grounds crew for getting the field playable. Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School’s “Team Force” unified track team consisting of partner athletes Cody Janice and MacCoy Head, and Special Olympics athletes Shawn Schoolcraft and Joey Guin participated in the first ever Special Olympics state summer games division for Unified Champion Schools at UT-Arlington. VPD Arrests Two For Car Burglaries
On Monday, June 4, 2017 Vidor Police Officers were patrolling in the area of South Archie Street. The Officers were near Faith Assembly of God Church. Officers saw a suspicious female behind the building. The female, later identified as Sarah Elizabeth Cleveland, 19, had just broke into two vehicles and was in possession of stolen property. One of the owners of the vehicle was located and filed criminal charges on Cleveland. Cleveland was taken into custody for Burglary of a Vehicle.
