James Wade, a longtime resident of Vidor, Texas, has passed away. A man dedicated to his country and his community, James proudly served in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he dedicated the majority of his life to protecting others as a career Law Enforcement Officer.
Later in life, he channeled his strong work ethic into entrepreneurship as the owner and operator of JWW Trucking. Outside of his professional life, James was an avid model train enthusiast, spending countless hours pursuing his favorite hobby. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
James is survived by a large and loving family, including: Children: James Byron Wade and his wife, Mary, of Vidor, TX, Jon Brent Wade and his wife, Tina, of Napa, CA, The Mother of his Children: Neva Thornton Wade Reid of Vidor, TX Siblings: Jerry Wade of Bluff Dale, TX and Don Wade of Fannett, TX, Grandchildren: Emily Wade, Alexis Wade, Anthony Travers, Valerie Flores, and Johnny Villarreal, Jr., and Five beloved great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Friday, July 17, 2026 from 6:00PM – 9:00PM at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, 1750 Hwy. 12, Vidor, TX 77662.
Graveside is Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at 10:15AM at the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038.
