The LCM Lady Bears won a classic five setter at home Tuesday over Silsbee (23-25, 27-25, 19-25, 25-20, 15-10). The Lady Bears (4-0) were down 10-4 in the fifth set before running off 11 straight points behind the serves of Miya Hoy and great defense from Maddie Scott, Aubrey Temple, Aadi Day, Ava Shugart, and Kyleigh Sowell.
Stat leaders were: Kills—Aadi Day (9), Jordyn Chargois (8), Miya Hoy (6), Kyleigh Sowell (6), Makayla Dougharty (6), and Ava Shugart (3). Assists—Miya Hoy (34), Kyleigh Sowell and Montana Davis each with 1. Aces—Miya Hoy (4), Montana Davis (2), Makayla Dougharty (1) Blocks—Makayla Dougharty (2), Kyleigh Sowell (2), Aadi Day (1) Digs—Aubrey Temple (32), Aadi Day (23), Miya Hoy (16), Maddie Scott (10), Montana Davis (8), Jordyn Chargois, Kyleigh Sowell, and Makayla Dougharty each with 3. The LCM sophomore team lost in 2 to fall to 1-1 in district.

The Orangefield Lady Bobcats hosted Kirbyville and won 25-13, 25-7, 25-13 to stay undefeated in district.
OF JV battled through two sets to earn the win, 25-11, 25-18. They’ll travel to Hardin Friday.

Deweyville lost to Colmesneil on Monday in three. Katelynn Cibrian had 3 aces, Macee Powell had 6 kills, Claylee Hamilton lead with 8 assists, Brooklyn Williams had 16 digs and Emma Manning had the only kill. The Pirates have a bye Thursday.
