Here we are, already at the halfway point of the 2026 football season. All of our local teams will begin district play this week except for the WOS Mustangs, who only have a rematch with the 11 time State Champs from Carthage at Dan R. Hooks Stadium.
Vidor 2026 is not Vidor 2025 so the LCM Bears will have their hands full on Friday as they meet in the 9-4AD1 opener. After two tough back to back opponents, the Bridge City Cardinals open defense of their district title against Lumberton. Orangefield begins district vs. Kirbyville wanting to get back their district title that Hardin ran away with last year. And Deweyville got into the win column for the first time this season and will try to continue that streak against West Sabine.
