With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Robert L. Teate Sr., age 82, of Orange, Texas. He passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 19, 2026. The family is deeply grateful for your thoughts, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
A celebration of Robert’s life will be held at Mt. Olive Baptist Church on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Magnolia Memorial Gardens Cemetery, with Calvary Mortuary staff handling arrangements and providing compassionate care.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the church for visitation on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM to share memories and offer condolences.
Robert’s legacy of love and kindness will forever live in the hearts of his devoted wife, Shirley J. Teate; his beloved sons, Robert L. Teate, Jr. (Cyndi), Cedrick Steve, Roy Steve, and Ron Steve; his loving sisters, Nancy McCoy and Mary Johnson; his brothers, George Teate, Jr. (Donna), Deon Teate, Donny Teate, Sr. (Shelia), Danny Teate, and Randall Wayne Teate; his five adored grandchildren; his four great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and dear friends whose lives he touched.
