
On Wednesday, May 13, 2026, detectives with the City of Orange Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 10 westbound near mile marker 862 following multiple traffic violations. During the stop, detectives detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, which led to a probable cause search.
During the investigation, detectives recovered a handgun and more than one pound of suspected methamphetamine from inside the vehicle. Four individuals were arrested and transported to the Orange County Jail on multiple felony charges related to narcotics and firearm offenses.
- 25-year-old Erick Lamont Landers of New Orleans, Louisiana, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group One greater than 400 grams, a First-Degree Felony, along with Felon in Possession of a Firearm, a Third-Degree Felony.
- 33-year-old Ikeyah Borden of Austin, Texas, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group One greater than 400 grams, a First-Degree Felony, along with Felon in Possession of a Firearm, a Third-Degree Felony.
- 29-year-old Tiffany Marie Kersey of Elgin, Texas, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group One greater than 400 grams, a First-Degree Felony.
- 27-year-old Alex Jackson of Manor, Texas, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group One greater than 400 grams, a First-Degree Felony.

On Monday, May 18, 2026, at approximately 7:16 p.m., detectives with the City of Orange Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 10 eastbound near mile marker 871 after observing multiple traffic violations. During the investigation, detectives developed reasonable suspicion of criminal activity and requested a K9 unit. Following a positive alert by the K9, detectives conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle and located over two kilograms of suspected cocaine concealed inside luggage.
The driver, identified as 29-year-old Jonathan Jerome Ned of Lafayette, Louisiana, was arrested and transported to the Orange County Jail. Ned was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group One over 400 grams, a First-Degree Felony. All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
