Highway 87 North by Dollar General had to be closed for a short time Thursday afternoon after a pickup crashed and knocked down a power pole. First responders and Entergy crews had to remove the power line before the roadway could be opened.
First responders at the scene said the driver had non-life threatening injuries.
The crash was about 2:30 with a white Ford F-150 traveling northbound. For an unknown reason, the truck crossed over into the southbound lanes near Dollar General and then crossed into a ditch. The truck rolled over and stopped in a wooded area.
Besides hitting the power pole, the truck also hit a vehicle parked at the store.
