Today I am proud to announce that I am seeking re-election to continue serving as your County Commissioner for Precinct 2. I am a proud husband and father to 3 beautiful children and we’ve lived in Precinct 2 our entire lives. We’ve raised our family and built our businesses here.
I’ve served our community for many years through civic groups like the Mauriceville Heritage Association where I’ve been president for over 10 years. I’m a current board member of Be Blessed Orange County, a member of the Texas A&M advisory board, and I was recently awarded the Community Builder Award by the Madison Masonic Lodge No. 126, Orange. I am member of the Cowboy Church of Orange County where I serve on the bereavement team. The last 3 years I have been honored to represent you on the Commissioners Court.
I have worked diligently to improve our infrastructure through drainage projects and rebuilding our roads. We have invested heavily in our parks with new equipment and infrastructure upgrades for our youth. We’ve worked to bring new businesses to our community and through all of this we’ve lowered the tax rate for 3 consecutive years and adopted the “no new revenue rate this year,” our tax rate has not been this low in 25 years.
I’ve worked hard to build meaningful relationships with the other County Commissioners and fellow leaders. These partnerships are more than just connections-they’re the foundation for real progress. By collaborating with local organizations, we’re addressing the needs that matter most to families. By working alongside other elected officials, we’re finding common ground and solutions that benefit everyone. Together, we’re creating opportunities that strengthen our neighborhoods and empower our community.
I’m proud of the bridges we’ve built, and I’m excited about the work ahead. With your support, we can continue turning these relationships into lasting change. I have continued to build upon relationships with many other governmental agencies like the Orange County Drainage District, Mauriceville MUD, Orangefield Water, TX Dot, our utilities companies and our State Legislators. These relationships are vitally important to continue moving our community forward.
Lastly, I’ve made it a priority to be visible, accessible, and transparent as your elected representative. I hold periodic meetings throughout our precinct, post updates on social media and have never been more than a phone call away. I humbly ask for your support and your vote to continue the work we’ve started, moving our community forward as your Precinct 2 County Commissioner.
