
A former volunteer firefighter was indicted this week by an Orange County Grand Jury.
Travis Dupuy was arrested on Oct. 22 after he was witnessed throwing a flare into some dry grass by West Orange Police Chief Jessie Romero. The county was under a burn ban at the time.
Dupuy was arrested and admitted during questioning that he set the fire. He could serve as much as 20 years on the second degree felony.
Dupuy is also being questioned about several other suspicious fires in the area.
