The final scrimmages before the start of the 2026 high school football season will be Thursday, Aug. 20.
Bridge City and Vidor will be hosting scrimmages. The Cards play state-ranked Newton at 6:30pm while Vidor will be welcoming Kirbyville and Jasper for a tri-scrimmage at 6pm.
Our other local teams will be on the road. Kyran Morrow and the Orangefield Bobcats travel to Hamshire-Fannett at 6pm while Deweyville will be in Hardin also starting at 6.
Scheduled for a 6:30pm start will be WOS at PNG and 7pm is the scheduled start time for LCM at Coldspring.
