
Bridge City beat the Bears 13-1 tonight for the district sweep. Landon Reeves with the win on the mound and John VanHuis went 3-3 with 2RBI and Gavin Bodin was 2-4 with 3RBI’s.
The Bears had three hits. Marco Bandiero took the loss.

Orangefield blanked Hardin 8-0. Brycen Tait struck out 8 in the shutout, giving up just three hits. The Bobcats had six hits, two by Mason Houghton. Matt Johnson drove in two runs. Bobcats are on a six game win streak, 4-0 in district.

Deweyville beat High Island 13-2. Caden Curry struck out 8 in the win and was 2-3 with 3RBI’s. Slade Gunter was 2-3 with two doubles and 5RBI’s.

WOS lost to Lumberton 6-1. Roman Ardoin struck out 10 for the Raiders with no walks. Noah Robles took the loss for the Mustangs. WOS had four hits (Robles, Lee, Anderson, Robertson).

The Orangefield Lady Bobcats defeated the Hardin Lady Hornets tonight 8-1 to improve to 6-1 in district play. Charlee Sanches went the distance giving up just 1 earned run on 4 hits with 7 strikeouts. Aubree Beck led the offense going 3 for 4 with a homerun, 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Hallee Becker added 2 hits, a walk and a run scored. Abby Broussard had a hit, an RBI and a run scored. Haylee Spears had a 2 RBI single and a run scored. Charlee Sanches had a double, an RBI and a run scored. Paisley Reeves had 3 walks and a run scored. Paris Becker added an RBI. Abigail Curphey had a walk and a run scored. Alysen Vincent added a single. The Lady Bobcats improve to 18-7-1 and 6-1 in district play, and will play Kountze this Tuesday at 6:00 in Orangefield.

Winning pitcher Ella Stephenson. Threw 3 innings faced 9 batters struck out 4, walked 1, no hits. LCM had 11 hits for the night with Eden Frenzel going 3 for 3 with a double and a triple. She scored 4 times and had 2 RBI’s, Ava White went 2 for 2, Ava Wright went 2 for 2 with a double and 4 RBI’s, Tessa Erickson went 1 for 3 with 5 RBI’s, Kendall Jones hit a triple with 1 RBI and Kingsley Doucette drove in 1 RBI.

Carson Fall threw her 7th no-hitter of the season as the BC Cards shutout Jasper 14-0. She was also 2-4 with 2RBI’s. Lexi Nugier and Kyleigh Hamilton also had two hits. BC remains undefeated at 5-0 in district and will play WOS on Tuesday.

Vidor lost to Lumberton 14-3. Tylen Cassell and Madison Perkins had two hits each for the Pirates. Vidor is now 2-3 in district and will face Jasper on Tuesday.
