The driver involved in the fatality crash that occurred on September 19, 2026 in the 6700 block of Bigner Road has died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. The decedent has been identified as 20 year old Orange County resident, Trent Korman.
On Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 2:03 am, Beaumont Police responded to the Salt Water Barrier in the 6700 block of Bigner in reference to a large disturbance. While officers were responding, dispatch advised that several vehicles were leaving the area at a high rate of speed. One of the vehicles failed to negotiate a curve and struck a parked flatbed trailer. The front passenger, 21-year-old Alyssa Messina of Vidor, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver was transported to a Houston-area hospital in critical condition.
