
David Andrew Burns, 58, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Medical City Lewisville Hospital in Lewisville, Texas.
A longtime resident of Vidor, David was known for his strong work ethic and dedication as a truck driver. He spent many years on the road, providing for his family while building friendships wherever his travels took him. David was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
David had a passion for life and enjoyed exploring new places through travel. He was always interested in the latest gadgets and technology and loved discovering new innovations. A die-hard fan of the Miami Dolphins, he supported his team through every season and never missed an opportunity to talk football with fellow fans.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 28 years, Anna Burns of Vidor; his children, George Burns and wife Vivian, Gracie Burns, Gideon Burns, and Gloria Burns of Vidor; his brother, Jason Burns of Denver, Colorado; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, numerous cousins, and friends.
David’s legacy of love, loyalty, and dedication to his family will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind. He will be remembered for his kind spirit, and his sense of adventure throughout his journey.
