The saying “No good deed goes unpunished” could’ve been used Wednesday afternoon following an accident on FM 1130.
A 25 year old woman and her mother were in a pickup truck traveling north on FM 1130 when she failed to negotiate what is known around town as Stephenson’s Curve. The truck flipped over on its side. The mother was transported by Acadian to the hospital with what was believed to be a broken ankle. The driver was uninjured.
Two men in another vehicle were traveling south on 1130 when they came upon the accident. They jumped out of the car to assist and forgot to put the vehicle in park. It rolled off the road into a ditch and struck a tree.
