Carolyn Denise Beukema-Meaux, 58, of Orange, Texas, passed away on July 17, 2024, at her home in Orange.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, July 26, 2024, at Mauriceville Church of Christ in Mauriceville. Officiating will be Minister Chris Eppler. In memory of Carolyn, the family requests that you wear your favorite color of blue to her memorial.
Born in Orange, Texas, on December 7, 1965, she was the daughter of Harry Lee Meaux, Sr. and Betty Lois Hoffpauir Meaux. Carolyn was a beacon of kindness and generosity. Her spirit touched the lives of many, as she approached everyone she met with unwavering love, making them feel like part of extended family. Her thoughtful nature was evident in the way she brought gifts to each gathering, spreading joy wherever she went. Carolyn’s resilience and inner strength were nothing short of inspirational; she faced life’s challenges head-on, earning her the title of everyone’s warrior. Her faith in the Lord guided her path, instilling hope and comfort in those around her. At church, Carolyn’s brought smiles to all in her role as snack keeper and candy giver. A traveler at heart, Carolyn shared adventures with her beloved brother David, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Her vibrant sense of humor and unique personality lit up every room she entered, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Music held a special place in Carolyn’s heart – whether singing along or simply listening with family members, these moments were filled with pure joy. Her grandchildren held an unparalleled significance in her life; they affectionately referred to her as “Maw Maw,” embodying the essence of her unconditional love and devotion. While Carolyn may have departed this world, she leaves behind a profound legacy that will continue to inspire generations to come. Her memory will be fondly carried in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing such a remarkable soul.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Betty Meaux; her son-in-law, Adam Perkins; and 8 sweet angel grandbabies.
She is survived by her daughters, Crystal Kelley of Orange, Brenda Davidson and husband, Adam of Orange, and Gabrielle Beukema and fiance’, Greg Stracener of Iowa, Louisiana; her grandchildren, Camaron Kelley, Taylor Bean, Khloee McRae, Kendra Davidson, Kota Davidson, John Stracener, Braiden Culver, and Gatlin Stracener; her siblings, Harry “Bubba” Meaux, Jr. and wife Sharon of Orange, Rebecca Auer and husband, Charles of Orange, David Meaux of Orange, and Christy Hankins and husband, Mike of Williamsburg, Kentucky; numerous honorary children and grandchildren whom she loved as her own; her beloved furbaby, P.J., whom she fed happy meals and ice cream; and many other beloved family members and friends.
