
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office initiated a narcotics investigation after receiving information of illegal narcotics being sold from a residence on Stuart Drive which is located in Kinnard Estates. Through the course of the investigation, Orange County Sheriff’s Office Deputies developed probable cause to believe a suspect was in possession and selling illegal narcotics from inside the residence. The deputies obtained a search warrant from the 128th District Court to search the residence for illegal narcotics.
On Tuesday, March 24, 2026, Orange County Sheriff’s Office Deputies served the search warrant. During a search of the residence, deputies found 5.2 oz of suspected methamphetamines, 48 oz. of suspected Gamma-Hydroxybutyrate (GHB), commonly known as the “date rape drug,” 1 gram of suspected fentanyl, and two handguns. Deputies also found several items of suspected drug paraphernalia.
Deputies identified and interviewed a suspect who confessed to possession and distribution of illegal narcotics from the residence. The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to the Orange County Jail. The suspect, 68 year old Linda Gail Vines, was charged with felony offences, including Possession of a Controlled Substance greater than 400 grams. Both bonds totaled $400,000.
Orange County Sheriff Bobby Smith stated, “I want to recognize and thank our deputies for the diligence and hard work displayed with this investigation. They received information and followed through to remove dangerous drugs from our community and arrest a suspected drug dealer.”
