Bridge City ISD and the Education Foundation celebrated local educators Wednesday with mini-grant check presentations, awarding 16 grants totaling $35,431.76 to support classroom learning.
The awards include $13,166.24 from the district and $22,265.52 from the BCISD Education Foundation. This combined investment will help grant recipients bring creative ideas to life and provide meaningful learning opportunities for BCISD students.
Examples of the proposed projects ranged from dinosaur exhibits, STEM tools, and a CNC router to materials for art exhibitions, marching band instruction technology, and engineering prototyping materials.
The presentations recognized educators for their initiative and commitment to enhancing the student experience. Through the mini-grant program, district and Foundation funding helps turn educators’ ideas into opportunities that benefit students.
BCISD extends its appreciation to the Education Foundation and its supporters for their continued investment in public education and congratulates all 16 grant recipients.
