Jade Savannah Daniels Toney was born on October 8, 1993. She went to be with her Lord on September 27, 2026. Though her journey on Earth was too short, she left an impact on her loved ones and friends that will be cherished forever.
She attended Vidor school, graduating in 2012. Upon graduation, she enrolled at Lamar State College, majoring in nursing. She earned her LVN degree, continuing her education to earn her Registered Nurse Degree in 2017.
As a nurse, her call was with the elderly. The residents in the nursing homes where she was employed loved Jade. Even the most difficult patients responded positively to her loving touch. She was sure that they were remembered on holidays and spent time visiting with the residents who needed a listening ear.
Too talented and knowledgeable to remain on the nursing staff, she became the Assistant Director of Nursing, ensuring that paperwork was completed and that rules and regulations were followed. When state inspections happened, her work was always commended for being perfect.
In November 2022, the Lord blessed her with the love of her life, her precious Jude. She was a loving mother who went the extra mile to meet all his needs.
Unable to devote her time to mothering while meeting the demands of the nursing field, she resigned to spending time with her precious child.
Fortunately, Jade’s family owns and operates a local childcare center, so she joined the staff there as center nurse and administrative assistant. She was such a joyous presence at the childcare center. Parents, staff, and children loved the special attention they received from her. She had thoughts of someday taking the reins of operating the center, when her family was ready to pass the torch. Unfortunately, her time was cut short.
Jade was married to Justin Toney, Jude’s father. He also is in the healthcare field, with them meeting at her first nursing home venue. In May 2025, Jade received the news that no one wants to hear. She received a cancer diagnosis. Determined to fight with all her might, she underwent every possible treatment to prolong her life. Justin was by her side at every appointment, never considering anything but her welfare. While on Earth, she was never cancer free, she is now cancer free in the loving arms of her Lord Jesus Christ.
In addition to Justin and Jude, she is survived by her mother Jenifer Turner, her grandmother Sue Daniels and her uncle Mark Daniels and brothers Tanner and Hunter McCray. Her grandparents, Ray and Ruth Williams, were waiting for her as she made her way into Heaven.
To quote a letter Jade wrote her grandmother, “I believe 100%. He (God) will not fail me! I am no longer fearful of cancer because I know He has plans for us all. “
