Belinda Gail Shomo-Turner, 68, of Splendora, Texas, passed away on September 27th, 2026 at 9:45pm at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Humble, Texas.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, friend and wife. She brought countless hours of joy and laughter to those around her with her loud and boisterous personality. She spent her days working odd jobs, and eventually became a homemaker feeding her family countless delicious meals. Belinda loved cooking for anyone who came by and forcing them to have a big dessert because “a meal wasn’t complete without a dessert.” She was the last of her immediate family to pass, preceded in death by her mother Shirley Marie Shomo, her father Millard Philmore Shomo, and her siblings Rebecca Anne Buckaloo, Keith Wayne Shomo, and Daren Craig Shomo.
Belinda leaves behind her kind and caring husband Don Wilburn Turner, who took care of her every moment until her final days. She proudly raised two children who grew up to carry on her infectious personality: Joshua Keith Hebert, and Tiffany Dawn Hebert-Brogan. They both continued her legacy by having wonderful children of their own. Joshua gave her a bright granddaughter named Alabee Belle Hebert.
Tiffany had four children of her own who have grown to share Belinda’s wild and silly demeanor: Brett Michael Doucet, Madison Michelle Doucet, Terra Hayes Doucet, and Brody Joseph Brogan. Belinda led a life filled with love, laughter, and God. She was a proud and strong woman who will be missed greatly by every soul she touched. Her memorial service will be held in the coming weeks at her daughter Tiffany’s home. Belinda was a wonderful woman and will spend her afterlife in heaven, and with her husband at the home she loved.
