Richard Lee Cady, passed away on September 28, 2026, at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont, Texas, at the age of 59.
Richard was born on October 19, 1966, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to family, and a steady, kind presence that will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was a Christian and carried his faith quietly and sincerely throughout his life, serving as an example of strength, humility, and generosity to those around him.
Richard attended West Orange-Stark High School and was a proud member of the Class of 1988. After school, he built a long and respected career as an Industrial Fabricator, dedicating 30 years of service to Fabricating Solutions and STI. He took great pride in his work and was known for being dependable, skilled, and mechanically inclined. Whether he was working on a project or repairing trucks in his shop, Richard approached every task with patience, ability, and a hands-on spirit that reflected who he was.
Outside of work, Richard found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life. He loved fishing and hunting, and he especially enjoyed relaxing after work with family and friends. Time spent in his shop, working on trucks and using the skills he had developed over the years, brought him satisfaction and peace. He was the kind of man who could fix just about anything, and he was always willing to lend a hand or share what he knew. Those who knew him will remember his humor, his generosity, and the easy way he made others feel welcome.
Richard was a loving father to Dylan Cady of Orange, Texas, Brendan Cady of Orange, Texas, and Bailey Cady of Orange, Texas, and grandfather to Aidan, Eli, and Ava Cady. His children and grandchildren were among the greatest joys of his life, and he cared deeply for each of them. He is also survived by his brothers, Robert Cady of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and Randall Cady of Abbeville, Louisiana, as well as his sisters, Christy Cady of Deweyville, Texas, and Cori Cole of Deweyville, Texas. His family was an important part of his life, and the bonds he shared with them were strong and enduring.
Richard will be remembered as a handy, funny, and generous man who lived with sincerity and heart. He had a way of making people laugh, and he was always ready to help when someone needed him. His presence brought comfort and stability to those around him, and his memory will live on in the many lives he touched through his work, his kindness, and his love for family.
Though his passing leaves a deep void, Richard’s life stands as a testament to the value of hard work, faith, and devotion to the people who matter most. His legacy will continue through his family, his friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
