Vernon Buxton, Jr., born on January 24, 1962, passed away on April 29, 2026.
Vernon found great joy in spending time with his grandchildren and cherished his dogs. He was a true muscle car enthusiast, proudly owning 28 Trans Ams by the time he was 30. Most of all, Vernon was a loyal friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Deirdra Buxton; his beloved aunt, Betty Sue Stoy; his children, Bobby Wayne Elmore Buxton, Monique “Nicki” Pearson and her husband, Tommy, Sarah Ann Ferrell Buxton, Verna Lynn Ingle, and Danny Ferguson and his wife, Teya. Vernon also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and his sisters, Renee Brinson and Sharron Buxton.
Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Betty Lou Buxton; his daughter, Tabetha Christine; his in-laws, Bill and Fern Eads; his sister, Junia Grimes; his nephews, Sean Horton and Matthew Authement; and his son-in-law, Billy Wayne Ingle.
Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
