The West Orange-Stark Mustangs dominated Sinton 28-3 Friday night in Katy to advance to the 4AD2 State Championship for the ninth time in school history and they’re looking for ring number five.
Sinton (13-2) was a team that came in averaging almost 45 points a game and they’re only loss was by one point. The Mustangs held them to three as they were on point most of the game.
Offensively Khelvy Jefferson had another big night. He had three touchdowns of 40 yds. or more. The fourth touchdown came on a nifty touch pass from Kwalin Dugas to Braydon Gipson. Brian Hernandez was a perfect 4-4 on point-after’s.
WOS will play Carthage, who defeated Brock 49-21, on Friday at 3pm at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

In 5A Division I, Port Arthur Memorial lost to Smithson Valley 31-28. SV will play Lone Star, who defeated Aledo 55-52

In 5A D2 it’ll be South Oak Cliff vs. Richmond Randle for the title. SOC beat Melissa 35-17 and Randle defeated Boerne 40-16.

In 3AD2 the Newton Eagles are back in the Championship to play Wall who upset Gunter 28-25.
