Two star Bobcat athletes signed to play at the next level Monday afternoon.
Orangefield’s Kaleb Menard signed to play baseball at Murray State College in Oklahoma, a nationally ranked D2 JUCO that was 43-13 this season.
Menard chose baseball over football after having a phenomenal year on the gridiron. Baseball Coach Jake Nash was quick to remind everyone in attendance that he’s not done as a Bobcat yet. The Bobcats play Grandview in the third round starting Thursday.
Aubree Gamblin came back from injury her junior year to have a big season as one of the best hitters in Southeast Texas. She will be playing two sports at East Texas Baptist in Marshall. She will be playing softball after leading the Bobcats to a 35-2 record this season, and she’ll also run Cross Country after reaching Regionals in two events this year.
