Ruth Ann Holley, 75, of Vidor, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. A longtime resident of Vidor, RuthAnn was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her family and the many animals she loved throughout the years.
RuthAnn had a special place in her heart for all animals, especially her beloved pets. She found great joy and companionship in her cherished cats, Rusty, Baby Kitty, and Abby, as well as her faithful dog, Angel. Her kind and compassionate nature extended to everyone she met, and she will be remembered for her caring spirit and the love she shared with family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Edward Holley of Vidor, Texas; children, Jeffery Summers of Vidor, Texas, Teresa Slagle of Morrison, Illinois, and Travis Holley of South Carolina; brothers, Robert Valasek of Owosso, Michigan, Michael Valasek of Owosso, Michigan, and Danny Valasek of St. Johns, Michigan; sister, Jean Marie Valasek of Owosso, Michigan; grandchildren, Blake Summers of Vidor, Texas, Niya Holley of South Carolina, and Tristan Holley of Indiana; along with numerous extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
RuthAnn was preceded in death by her daughter, Christina Holley; her parents, Edward and Barbara Valasek; and her sister, Jackie Strouse.
RuthAnn’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for her devotion to her family, her gentle spirit, and her unwavering love for animals.
