Born in Orange, Texas, on October 25, 1957, Renee’ was the daughter of Garney and Barbara Cooper.
She loved her family and delighted in spending time with them. She loved children and would have claimed as her own just about any kid she encountered, but she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and grand nephews and niece. She taught herself to play piano at a young age and used that gift to serve her church as long as she could. She had a heart for young and old alike, visiting nursing homes to encourage and minister to residents, often through her piano playing. She loved flowers and plants of all kinds and was quite the green thumb in her day. She maintained a deep faith throughout her life, and so we grieve with hope and thanksgiving, trusting in the mercies of God that are new every morning, and in the promise of everlasting life given to Renee; and to all of us through the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Renee’ is preceded in death by her husband, Monty U. Jarrett; her parents, Garney Cooper and Barbara Glesmann Cooper; and her brother, Gary Cooper.
She is survived by her children, Sarah Jackson and husband, Craig, of Port Arthur, and Samuel Adams, of Dallas; her stepchildren, Lee Ann Clayton and husband, Daniel, of Crystal Beach, Jason Jarrett and wife, Jennifer, of Buna, Jonathan Jarret, of Lufkin, and Daniel Jarrett and wife, Ashley, of Orange; her grandson, Jake Bell and wife, Mackenzie, of Bridge City; her step grandchildren, Jordis, Trey, and Sadie Clayton, Justin, Ashleigh, Jenna, Jacee, Ethan, Kaitlyn, Cale, McKenna, Cody, and Colton Jarrett, Isaac, and Leighton Jarrett, and Emery Jarrett; her great granddaughter, Halsey Bell; her sister, Charlotte Liles and husband, Steve, her sister-in-law, Rebecca Cooper; her nieces and nephews, Karen Turner and husband, Mark, Shelly McAninch and husband, Chase, Lee Cooper and wife, Sarah, and Matthew Cooper; and her grandniece and nephews, Zackary, and Jacob Turner, Cooper, Connor, and Claire McAninch, and Henry Cooper.
Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Norman, Pete Quast, Shane Stankus, Mark Turner, Zack Turner, and Craig Ware.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Liberty Baptist Church.
