Lamar pitcher Chase Angelle was named to the All-Southland Conference Academic first team. Angelle was Lamar’s best pitcher for the season on a 2.01 earned run average and team-leading five wins and strikeouts (65). He moved into seventh place on LU’s career ERA list at 2.86 and led the SLC in complete games (5) and was sixth in innings pitched (98.2). Rhodes Heading To ASU
Former WOS Mustang J'Marcus Rhodes, announced on Twitter that he's joining his third team in as many seasons. The three-star prospect from Kilgore College, announced his intentions to join the Arizona State football team. According to an interview with The State Press Rhodes, a cornerback, is large for the position, with a 6-foot-2, 205-pound frame that coach Todd Graham said would make him the "biggest corner he's ever coached." Rhodes has two years of eligibility remaining.
