Wednesday afternoon firefighters were called to a house fire on County Road 4173 in Deweyville.
They arrived to find fire coming from the roof where the laundry room is located. No one was home at the time. Several pets were rescued and first responders were looking for more.
According to Constable Howie Wonders the home suffered serious fire, smoke and water damage.
