Dupont Drive Store Robbed Again
The Stop and Drive store at 1801 DuPont Drive was robbed again Saturday morning. Orange Police report that two men with a handgun held up the store about 9:00 AM Saturday. The police report the two suspects were black males wearing masks; one was tall and thin while the other was heavy set. The tall suspect carried the gun and demanded money from the clerk while the other suspect served as a lookout by the door. Dollar General Robbery
On Saturday, November 21, 2015, at 8:35pm, Officers with the City of Orange Police Department were dispatched to 5725 N. Hwy 87, Dollar General, in reference to an Aggravated Robbery. The suspect was described by the employees as a white male who entered the business, with a mask on, brandished a firearm and demanded money. The male obtained an undetermined amount of currency and fled the store. Officers obtained video footage of the incident from the store’s video surveillance system. Orange Woman Involved in Jasper Co. Wreck
At approximately 2:00am Sunday, there was a three vehicle crash on Highway 62 in Jasper County. A 2015 Dodge pickup truck was traveling southbound in Highway 62. The driver of the Dodge crossed the center line and struck a 1999 Ford truck head-on. Both drivers were able to get out of their vehicles. Approximately five 5 minutes later, a Toyota pickup truck traveling southbound on Highway 62 struck the Ford that had been disabled from the earlier crash.
