Thursday Storm Leaves Trail
Trees and limbs were blown down Thursday morning in Pinehurst and parts of Orange as a thunderstorm with a cold front blew through. A tree was down on Park Avenue in Pinehurst and another on McKee Drive off Park on the east side of Adams Bayou in Orange. Minor wind damage has been reported along 20th Street in the same neighborhood in Orange. The wind came through a few minutes after 7 a.m. with a cold front. Man Found Dead In Brownwood
Orange police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found early this morning in the roadway of the 500 block of North Street in the Brownwood addition. Captain Weldon Smith said the man, whose identity has not been released, appears to have been in a fight. Captain Smith said police were called at 2:30 a.m. to the street because of a disturbance. The LCM Lady Bears golf team took home second place honors with a total of 389 at the Brentwood Golf Course hosted by Ozen. Senior Lauren Cox broke the LCM girl's record by shooting 69 and won 2nd place medalist. The previous record was held by Cox and Angela Wray with a 70.
