AUSTIN — The Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission today adopted a series of fishing regulation changes affecting bass and catfish in specific fresh waters, and clarifying saltwater length limits on black drum and amberjack, and rules prohibiting snagging of fish with pole-and-line. 9-month-old Auriellah Lewis won her first bicycle Friday when she picked up an Easter egg with a winning slip. Children, parents, grandparents and friends gathered Friday morning at the Riverfront Pavilion to participate in the city of Orange's annual Easter Egg Hunt. Members of the Lions Club grilled and served free hot dogs. Children also got to play games, see animals in a petting zoo and take rides in a horse-drawn wagon. Shaw Gets 33 Years
The young man police said organized an armed robbery of a loan company will serve 33 years in prison. 163rd State District Judge Dennis Powell on Wednesday gave the punishment to 21-year-old Joshua Tremaine Shaw of Orange. Shaw was one of four young men charged with aggravated robbery of the Sun Loan, 1104 16th Street, on August 24 last year. It was the second armed robbery of the business within two months. The West Orange-Stark Mustangs prevailed 3-1 over the Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns to remain tied for first place in the district.
