Wrong Way Driver Dies
The Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed that a 26-year old Louisiana man died as a result of a two-vehicle crash Monday morning in Orange on Interstate 10 which closed the eastbound lanes for over six hours. Trooper Stephanie Davis reported at approximately 1:15 AM a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox SUV was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of the interstate and attempted to make a U-turn when it was struck by a Kenworth tractor truck pulling a trailer near mile marker 875. Sidney Morgan Furlough, age 86 of Orange, Texas passed away at Orange Villa Nursing Home in Orange, Texas on Friday, May 6, 2016. Sidney was born in Buna, Texas on Friday, March 7, 1930 to the late Katherine Furlough. He was a resident of Orange, Texas where he lived for the majority of his life. Saturday night in Waco, former West Orange-Stark Mustang Kevin Smith was inducted into the Texas High School Football Hall Of Fame. Robber Arrested
On Saturday, May 07, 2016, at 4:25 pm, officers with the City of Orange Police Department were dispatched to 1402 16th St, (Star Stop #3) in reference to an Aggravated Robbery. Upon officers arrival, the suspect had just exited the store and was attempting to flee.
