Woman Stabbed In Cheek
A 64-year-old woman was stabbed in the left cheek with a pair of scissors Saturday afternoon. She told Orange police another woman tried to take her cell phone, then took scissors and stabbed her. Police said the cut went through her cheek into her gums. Police were called to Norwood Drive at 4:50 p.m. Saturday. The injured woman had been driven there by a man after she walked away from the house where she was stabbed. When police arrived, the woman was bleeding and also had bloody scratches on her arm. Unconscious Man Found Next to ATV
Orange police are investigating an ATV injury with no witnesses. Officer L.T. Holland reported he found an unconscious man lying in the roadway of FM 105 at Highway 87 about 4 a.m. Sunday. The Honda ATV was next to the man and showed no signs of a rollover. Officer Holland said he found no tire tracks or damage to indicate what direction the ATV had been traveling. The man, 22-year-old Dylan Wilder Thayer of Bridge City, was taken by Acadian Ambulance to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Robert Earl Riley, 81, of Vidor passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at his residence. Robert was born on March 22, 1935 in Port Arthur, Texas to parents Katie D. (Hardin) and Robert Amadis Riley. Orangefield's Brock and Coby Cross finished second at the SETX High School Fishing Championships held at Sam Rayburn this weekend.
