Rollover Monday Morning
One woman received non-life threatening injuries in a one vehicle roll over crash Monday morning in Orange. Orange Police and Fire Departments responded to the crash which occurred before 7:00 AM on MacArthur Drive between the La Cantina Restaurant and the Sonic Drive-In. The Grand Caravan with Arkansas license plates appeared to have left the roadway near Henrietta Street. The Caravan took out a pedestrian caution signal before crossing the grass and plowing into a hedge of bushes which caused it to flip over in front of a parking lot for three businesses. Lynn Wilson, 59, of Orange, passed away on February 17, 2017, at St. Luke’s in The Woodlands. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Wesley Pengelly Born in Pasadena, Texas, on July 23, 1957, she was the daughter of Donald Charles Pengelly and Jacquelyn Cuyle (Rumery) Pengelly. Lynn was a truck driver for 15 years, and she was currently working for JM Bozeman. She liked Motorcycles, Mardi gras, and music. She loved life and enjoyed doing anything. A 59-year-old Mauriceville woman suffered minor injuries Friday afternoon when she lost control of the car she driving and it hit a tree line. Orange police said the wet roadway cause the woman to lose control of the Chevrolet Malibu on Highway 62 North near Mauriceville. The Malibu was traveling southbound about 5 p.m. Friday. The car ended up going across the northbound traffic lane and running off the roadway to the east. The car collided into the tree line off the roadway. Once again the West Orange-Stark Mustangs seemed to peak at the end of the baseball season. A year after making it to the state finals West Orange-Stark advanced last year to the third round of the state playoffs before being eliminated. Orange Zoning Board Meets Tuesday
The Orange Zoning Board of Adjustments will meet Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. to decide on whether to give special exceptions to allow a bed and breakfast on Tenth Street and a yard for wrecked vehicles on Highway 90. The board will hear a request from Gina Rebich to have a bed and breakfast at 901 10th Street in the Old Orange Historical District. The two-story house has previously had a bed and breakfast.
