WOS Gets Road Win Vs. Cards
It was billed beforehand as a pitchers’ duel Friday night in Bridge City. Both teams’ pitchers delivered the goods as the West Orange-Stark Mustangs edged past the Bridge City Cardinals 3-2 at Cardinals Field. The victory keeps the Mustangs undefeated in district and was the 100th career win for Head Coach Shea Landry. School and City Losing Guidry
Orange City Councilmember Dr. Wayne Guidry, who is an administrator with the West Orange-Cove school district, has been selected as the lone finalist for superintendent of the Hubbard ISD. It will be the first superintendent's job for Guidry, who is currently the executive director of operations for West Orange-Cove. He is a graduate of Orangefield High and the University of Texas. Peggy Faires Sherwin went to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas on Tuesday, November 26, 1942 to Florence Beaver Faires and Albert Faires. Peggy retired from LCM ISD after 18 years as a bus driver. Friday night firefighters from OCESD 3 responded to a report of a fire at Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School. There they found a dryer on fire which was quickly extinguished.
