Orange County Historical Society to Meet
The Orange County Historical Society respectfully invites the public to attend its Third Quarter 2026 meeting. This event will be held at the Heritage House, 905 W. Division St., Orange, Texas 77630, on Tuesday August 11, 2026, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM.
Our program will be “A Message of Hope”, as local resident Mr. Frank McCoy reflects on the progress made in diabetes care over the last 70 + years. McCoy was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in 1948 at the age of three. His parents were told he may not have a long life due to this condition. Yet, over time, McCoy learned to manage his illness and went on to thrive as a strong member of the community. Additionally, the program will include cooking tips from the AgriLife “Eat Well, Be Well” class to help manage diabetes.
Light refreshments will be served. All members of the community are cordially invited to attend.
