
The TCAL (Texas Christian Athletic League) State Tennis Tournament was held at the Beaumont Municipal Tennis Center for the 3rd year in a row on Wednesday, April 8th.
Schools came from as far away as San Antonio, Houston, and Athens to attend, but 2 local schools from Southeast Texas remained competitive in the tournament.
Community Christian School from Orange was the Runner-up in Division 2 (small school division). CCS missed out on being overall champions by 1 point. Texas Christian from Houston were the Overall Champions with 31 points; CCS had 30 points to finish the tournament.
Cornerstone Christian from San Antonio won the Division 1 Big School Division for the 3rd year in a row.
Some athletes even stepped up to compete in Division 1 (large school division).
The local stand-out competitors of the day were Garon Gomez from Community Christian School that was the Boys singles champion in Division 1 and Division 2 and Corbin Green from Port Arthur Lighthouse who was the Runner-up in singles Division 1 and 2.

Samara Simmons/ Audrina Garza- Doubles 1st in Division 2 Silver Bracket)
Aaron Leger- Singles (3rd in Division 2 Silver Bracket)
Annabelle Smith/ Hunter White- Mixed Doubles (2nd in Division 2 Silver Bracket))
Koen Karner/ Brice Bourke- Doubles (2nd place Division 2 Silver Bracket)
