
Judy Ann Gunn, 80, passed away peacefully, May 11, 2026, in Mauriceville, Texas. She was born in Orange, Texas, January 6, 1946, to the daughter of Jesse (Jake) and Rena Lobb.
Judy will always be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She spent many years cutting fabric as a department manager at Walmart before retirement. She cherished the times of attending her grandsons ballgames, family gatherings, and tending to her plants and flowers. Many hours spent with her sister working the garden, shelling peas, and canning the fruits of their labor. She loved cooking for her loved ones and sharing her famous cantaloupe pie with her son and his fellow workers. She and her husband were members of the Orange County Master Gardeners Association where they shared their love of gardening until his death.
She is survived by her son, Kelly Gunn (Kristine) of Bridge City, Texas; grandsons, Trevor Gunn (Katlin) of Kirbyville, Texas, and Tyler Gunn of Beaumont, Texas; great grandsons, Rylan Gunn and Kohen Gunn; brother, Tommy Lobb (Glee) of Bridge City, Texas; sister, Shirley Redd (Bobby) of Mauriceville, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Gunn; parents, Jake and Rena Lobb; and brother, Larry Lobb.
Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Dorman – Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 8808 Highway 87 North, Orange, Texas. Bro. Mike Streams will be officiating. Cremation was entrusted to Dorman – Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home.
Family would like to thank Enhabit Hospice for the compassionate care they gave her and her sister, Shirley Redd, for the unwavering and loving care she provided Judy during her final days.
