
Helen Chargois was born in San Augustine, TX, July 18, 1954, to Reeber (Butler) Amos and Vester Amos. She died August 12, 2026, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, TX.
Residing in Orange some 50 years, she was a Nurse’s Aide and a checker at King Saver Grocery store.
She was a member of the St. Paul Baptist Church. She sang in the choir and was a member of the Mission Society and the Pastor’s Aide Organization.
She united in Holy Matrimony with Earl Chargois, who preceded her in death.
Forever cherishing her memory are four sons, Hyron Amos (Tammaran) of Hutto, TX, Christopher Chargois and Earl Chargois, Jr, both of Orange, and Larue Chargois (Samantha) of Austin, TX, three daughters, Pshana Bailey of Baytown, TX, and Pamela Elam and Lorie Solomon, both of Austin, TX, one sister, Lillie Roberts of Orange, 22 grandchildren and 69 great grandchildren.
