
Here are scores from the diamond on Friday. Orangefield softball moved their games to Monday so they could attend the State Basketball Tournament.

Orangefield baseball moved their Friday game to Thursday and they shutout Warren 12-0 in five with Carson Gonzales getting the win. Matthew Johnson had a huge night, going 3-4 with 2 doubles and 5 RBI’s. The Bobcats move to 12-5 on the year and 3-0 in district play. They will be back in action on Tuesday at home against the Anahuac Panthers.

Bridge City run ruled WOS 17-0 in 5. Slade Landry was 2-2 with 4RBI’s. Hunter Ford had two doubles and Carson Sauceda was 2-3 with 2RBI’s. Landry, Clayton and Frederick combined on a one hitter.

Vidor 9 Jasper 0 – Brooks Burns had a heckuva night. He struck out 8 and only gave up 2 hits in 6 innings. He was also 2-2 with a double, 2 RBI’s and 2 walks.
SOFTBALL
The Lady Cards shutout Jasper 14-0 (5) to remain undefeated in district. Cambree LaComb got the win with a 2 hit SO.

The Lady Bears beat the Silsbee Tigers 6-1. Tessa Erickson drove in 4 runs with a grand slam in the 5th inning. Going into the fifth the game was tied 1-1. Ashley Garcia singles to CF, Abby Sepulvado singles and Garcia advances to third on an error, Kendall Jones lays down a bunt that ended up being a fielders choice to load the bases. Tessa Erickson hits a 4 run blast over centerfield to make the score 5 to 1. The lady bears scored 1 in the fourth when Embree Ewing singles, then steal second. Kinsley Doucet hits a line drive to centerfield to drive Ewing in to tie the game. In the bottom of the sixth Halynn Trosclair leads off with a single, Brylie Jones follows up with a single to advance Trosclair, Garcia advances the runners on a ground out, Abby Sepulvado hits a single to score Trosclair and advance Jones. Erickson went 7 innings and gave up 5 hits, one earned run, 3 walks and struck out 7. LCM is 14 -7 overall and 4-0 district.

WOS lost to Lumberton 19-7. In the loss Kyla Blagburn hit her first career HR.
