The LCM defense came up big late in the game, stopping Orangefield four times inside the five yard line to seal the two point victory. The Bobcats battled back from a 28-14 halftime deficit to get back into the contest, forcing the Bears into four turnovers.
The Bobcats tallied 394 yds. of offense to LCM’s 307. QB Jakson Struwe ran for two TD’s and threw one to Kessler Briggs while Aiden Phillips rushed for 106 yds. on 16 carries and a score. For the Bobcats, Carson Gonzales threw for 269 with TD’s to Kyran Morrow and Kolston Robinson.

Bay City 18 WOS 7-
West Orange-Stark (#2 4AD2) suffered their first loss of the season to the sixth ranked Black Cats. The Bay City defense was the story, holding the Mustangs to just 179 yds. and star running back Khelvy Jefferson to 36 yds. on 12 carries. Meantime the Black Cat offense finished with 280 yds. (239 rushing).

Silsbee 39 Bridge City 0-
The Cardinals (1-3) lose their third straight, suffering their second straight shutout. The Tigers lead 18-0 at the half on the Cardinals Homecoming night. BC will open district Friday at Lumberton (2-2).

Vidor 45 Iowa, La. 42-
The Pirates (2-2) beat the defending Division II State Champs in their own backyard. Jett Brucia ran for 119 yards and two scores as the Pirates are averaging 32 points per game. Vidor will open district play at LCM Friday.

Deweyville 54 Navarro 6-
Deweyville got the offense rolling early and never slowed down. The Pirates had 8 different running backs carry the ball for 446 yards on 43 carries. The Pirates rushing attack was led by QB Kamen Collins with 100 yards on 7 carries, Layton Burch had 96 yards on 9 carries and 2 TD’s, Asher Burch had 90 yards on 11 carries and 2 TD’s, Acesyn Stephenson had 73 yards on 6 carries and 1 TD, Kylor Hyatt hat 53 yards on 3 carries and 2 TD’s. Lexton Beritiech had 2 receptions for 54 yards and 1 TD to give the Pirates a total of 500 yards of offense. The Pirates start District play this Friday at home vs. West Sabine Tigers. West Sabine is 2-2 and Deweyville is 1-3 coming into District.
