
Deborah Lou Aftab, aged 63, passed away on April 13, 2026, in Silsbee, Texas. Born on May 12, 1962, in Hemphill, Texas, to Charles P. Shaw and Bobbie Lou Fuller Shaw, Deborah spent her earlier years in Orange, Texas, before moving to Silsbee.
Deborah was a dedicated restaurant manager at IHOP, where she combined her love for people and her passion for service. She was a cherished member of the Pinecrest Baptist Church in Silsbee.
Known for her love of crabbing and listening to audio books, Deborah most cherished the time spent with her family. She is remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who took great pride in providing for her family and was always ready with a warm smile and a helping hand.
She leaves behind a loving family: sons, Joseph Butler of Silsbee, Frank Butler and fiancé, Joni, of Silsbee, Thomas Butler and wife, Julie, of Orange, Justin Butler and wife, Stacy, of Newton, and Jason Butler of Orange; brothers, David Clark and wife, Lisa, of Dayton, and Pat Dorman of Florida; and sister, Alicia Teal and husband, James, of Tennessee. She was a proud grandmother to Aiden, Sarah, Katelyn, Aaron, Miranda, Alysah, Hope, Lynnex, Tyler, Chase, Sean, Bailey, Ryan, Stevie Jo, Kyndal, Cassie, Kylie, and Tommy, and also leaves behind seven great-grandchildren.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Bobbie Shaw, sons, Gregory Bishop and Ross Butler, and sisters, Valerie Burick, Danielle Burick, and Cherie Noble.
Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill, Texas, is handling the arrangements. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and community.
