
On Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at approximately 12:17 p.m., officers with the City of Orange Police Department were notified that other law enforcement agencies were involved in a vehicle pursuit eastbound on Interstate 10 involving a white 2024 Jeep Compass.
Officers with the City of Orange Police Department positioned themselves in areas near the interstate to assist. It was later broadcast that the pursuing agencies had lost sight of the vehicle.
While officers remained in the area, they located the Jeep and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The driver failed to stop, and a pursuit was initiated by the City of Orange Police Department. The pursuit continued into Louisiana and ended near mile marker 10. The driver, identified as Jeremy Hepburn (DOB: 04/07/1988) of Florida, was taken into custody without incident.
Hepburn was charged with Evading Arrest with a Vehicle, a third-degree felony. He was also found to have active warrants from the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, Desoto County Sheriff’s Office, and the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office, all related to fraud offenses.
During a search of Hepburn, officers located multiple fraudulent driver’s licenses in his possession. He was additionally charged with Possession of Identifying Information (less than five items), a state jail felony. Hepburn was transported to the Orange County Jail and released to jail staff.
