The City of Orange Police Department is investigating an aggravated robbery that occurred early Tuesday morning at the Charge Up Gas Station, 811 Strickland Drive.
At approximately 5:50 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, officers responded to the business after receiving a report of an aggravated robbery. Investigators say a black male entered the store armed with a handgun, stole the cash register, and fled the scene on foot toward the Roselawn area.
City of Orange detectives immediately launched an investigation and discovered similarities between the July 28 robbery and another aggravated robbery at the same business on Sept. 2, 2025. In that incident, a black male also entered the store on foot while armed with a handgun, stole cash from the register, and fled on foot.
As detectives continued investigating the July 28 robbery, they developed additional information linking a suspect to the 2025 case. Based on that evidence, investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Taylor Xavier Jacobs (DOB: Nov. 14, 2006) on a charge of Aggravated Robbery, a first-degree felony, in connection with the Sept. 2, 2025, robbery.
The investigation into the July 28, 2026, robbery remains active and ongoing.

Detectives caution the public not to approach Jacobs if he is seen. Instead, anyone with information about his whereabouts should contact law enforcement immediately.
