
Caleb Nicolas Burge, 21, of Vidor, Texas, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Born and raised in Vidor, Caleb was a lifelong resident of the community he loved dearly.
Caleb was a devoted member of First Baptist Church in Vidor, where his strong faith and love for others were evident to everyone who knew him. He attended Vidor High School and worked as a Level 2 Rope Access Technician on the Golden Pass LNG Project in Sabine Pass, Texas. Caleb was known for his hard work, determination, and willingness to always lend a helping hand.

He lived life with enthusiasm and joy. Caleb loved riding motorcycles, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Very athletic and full of charisma, he had a way of making people smile wherever he went. His happy spirit and caring heart left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Above all else, Caleb cherished his wife and children, always putting the needs of others before his own.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of three years, Cheyenne Burge of Vidor, Texas; his sons, Cayson Michael Burge and Cohen Mitchell Burge, both of Vidor, Texas; his parents, April Burge Bertrand and William Edward Gilthorpe IV of Vidor, Texas; his brothers, Chad Bertrand and wife Brianna of Vidor, Texas, and Chase Bertrand and wife Alyssa of Beaumont, Texas; his grandparents, Jan and Mitchell Burge Sr. of Vidor, Texas, and Bill and Paulette Gilthorpe of Vidor, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and many dear friends.
Caleb was preceded in death by his sister, Alexandria “Lexy” Bertrand.
Though his time here was far too short, Caleb’s love, laughter, and selfless spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
