On May 28, 2026, Traylor Dixon McCord, 64, entered a plea of guilty to Aggravated Sexual Assault of a child under 10 years of age and was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
Because the victim was under the age of 10, McCord will not be eligible for parole.
It was on Sunday, February, 22, 2026, the mother of the child called the Orange County Sheriff’s Office to report she walked in on McCord, who was a family member, sexually assaulting her child.
During the investigation, McCord admitted to Investigators Bianca Cowart and Dru Crochet that what he did was wrong. He was taken into custody and later indicted.
