LCM had the momentum going into Game 3 of their series with Hudson after a 17-7 win in Game Two. And Gm.3 started that way with the Lady Bears scoring two in the first.
Hudson would score one in the top of the second and the 2-1 LCM lead would hold up all the way to the seventh inning. The Bears needed just three outs and they had Tessa Erickson in the circle.
The Lady Hornets responded with three doubles and a single to score three runs and take a 4-2 lead. The Bears came up in the bottom of the seventh and Abby Sepulvado singled and Erickson walked to put two on but the Bears couldn’t push them across home plate and their season came to a close in the first round of the 4A D1 playoffs.
Sepulvado would end up with three of the Lady Bears’ seven hits. Kinsley Doucet had two hits and Haylynn Trosclair had a double. LCM ends the season 21-12.
