Orange native O’Shaquie Foster will return to the ring October 24th in San Antonio, taking on Emanuel Navarrete in a junior lightweight title unification fight.
Top Rank announced Wednesday that the bout will take place at the Frost Bank Center.
Navarrete, who holds the WBO and IBF junior lightweight titles, enters the fight with a record of 40 wins, two losses and one draw, including 33 victories by knockout. He’s coming off a stoppage win over Eduardo Nunez in February.
Foster, who is 25-3 with 12 knockouts, will put his WBC title on the line. The Orange native is a two-time junior lightweight champion and has successfully defended the belt twice since reclaiming it with a victory over Robson Conceição.
Foster is coming off a majority-decision win over Ray Ford in May.
Foster said this is the type of fight every fighter dreams about, and he’s excited to return to San Antonio and fight in front of his fans.
